Tim Thomas and the Bruins have agreed to a contract extension, team sources told ESPN's John Buccigross on Thursday.
Thomas is having a breakout campaign as the Bruins starting goaltender. Entering play Thursday night, Thomas currently leads the league in both GAA and save percentage at 2.13 and 93.1 percent, respectively and made his first All-Star appearance in February.
Boston is expected to announce the deal Saturday.
